Andrew Lloyd Webber’schartbusting classic  London show is atruly stated as a riotous night out! The show us adapted from immenselypopular  hit Jack Black film. The OlivierAward-winning stage adaptation School Of Rock – The Musical is running withpacked houses at the New London Theatre.

The power ofrock can be felt with the guitar-thrashing, drum-rolling, rip-roaringcelebration. The story revolves around Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck wannaberock star. He is struggling hard to for his survival with the determination todo so through the power of music. In a highly reputed prep school, he starts posingas a substitute teacher and finds that his students have hidden musical talents.To conquer The Battle Of The Bands, he enlist his fifth-graders. However, wouldhe be able to accomplish  his mission withoutinforming their parents and the school’s headmistress?

In December2015, the show made its debut in New York in December 2015 and was described byBlack as “a Broadway masterpiece”. In November 2016, the show made its West Enddebut and was the recipient of three Olivier Award nominations includingMastercard Best New Musical. The show won Outstanding Achievement in Music forthe three children’s band, who rock out every night playing live instruments.The show comprises of all the original songs from the super duper movie, alongwith 14 new songs and music which are penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber andlyricist Glenn Slater.

One of the keyhighlights of School Of Rock is that it comprises of world-class musicians insmall sizes. School of Rock The musical features book by Julian Fellowes, knownfor some great works like Mary Poppins and Downtown Abbey, whereas super directionfrom Laurence Connor makes the show a delightful voyage for both young and old.

The showbeautifully depicts how Dewey fire up the stubborn nature of these kids andalso the opportunity to live out his dreams with these little angels by enteringthe Battle of the Bands competition. The show features 14 original songs suchas "You're in the Bed", "Mount Rock" and "Where Didthe Rock Go", as well as the iconic "School of Rock (Teacher'sPet)". Other highlights of the show are choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter,design by Anna Louizos, lighting design by Natasha Katz and sound design byMick Potter.

The lead role ofDewey Finn is portrayed by Stephen Leask of One Man, Two Guvnors fame. Othercast members are Florence Andrews known for Miss Atomic Bomb, A Little NightMusi as Rosalie Mullins, Alan Pearson as Ned Schneebly, Michelle Francis asPatty Di Marco and Craig Gallivan as alternate Dewey. Other members are NickButcher, Cassandra McCowan, Jessica Louise Parkinson, Andy Rees, Cameron Sharp,Jake Sharp, James Smoker, Wendy Somerville, Andrew Spillett, Hannah Strattonand Alex Tomkins.
