Palace Theatre

Palace Theatre is situated at 109-113 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, W1V 8AY. Year 1891 marked the debut of opulent theatre which was designed by Thomas Edward Collcutt. The stunning theatre originally marked its debut as the Royal English Opera House featuring a spectacular production of Arthur Sullivan’s Ivanhoe. Later it was transformed into a Musical Hall and renamed as the Palace Theatre Of Varieties.

Currently, The Palace Theatre is running with packed houses the world-wide phenomenon Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. Year 2016 marked the debut of the play and won most Olivier Awards for a single production.

The immensely popular has hosted some of the most popular and chartbusting musicals. Some of the renowned musicals hosted by the theatre are The Sound Of Music with 2,385 performances, Jesus Christ Superstar ran from 1972 to 1980 and Les Misérables ran for nineteen years and later transferred to the Queen’s Theatre.
