Victoria Palace Theatre

The magnificent Victoria Palace Theatre is positioned across the road from the gigantic façade of Victoria Station. The theatre has recently undergone multi-million pound renovation to host the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical sensation, Hamilton. The show is running with packed houses from November 2017.

Since 1832, there was a theatre on the site when there were no railways. However, arrival of electricity led to some grand renovations. In the year 1910, the oldest licensed music hall was demolished. The theatre was reopened and since then hosting a wide range of shows, music hall and musicals.

Earlier, the Victoria Palace Theatre had an astounding occupancy of 1500 and spread across 3 levels. In the recent time, the theatre hosted some of the blockbuster and chartbusting musicals such as the award-winning Billy Elliott, West End’s longest-running production in Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story. However, to host some of the finest and spectacular London musicals of 21st century, theatre has undergone multi million refurbishment.

The Victoria Palace is positioned outside Victoria tube and railway station. You can easily catch the bright lights of the theatre while exiting the station. Victoria Palace Theatre is located at a nearby distance from Theatreland alongside some popular London theatres. The theatre is located at a walking distance from famous London attractions including Westminster Abbey. It is located at an easily accessible location and can be commuted by the local tube and bus links that are connected with the rest of the city.

For those who are planning to visit the theatre, need not worry. They can visit the theatre via tubes, taxis, cars and buses. If you are planning to visit the theatre via tubes then the nearest station is Victoria on the District, Circle and Victoria lines. You can board buses also, as the Victoria bus station is a five minute walking distance from the theatre as well as main port of arrival for most coaches such as Megabus and National Express. Some of the bus numbers to board are 2, 8, 11, 16, 24, 36, 38, 52, 73, 82, 148, 185, 211, 239, 436, 507, 705, C1, C10, 73 and 511. You can also hire a taxi or drive your own car. The venue has huge range of meters on the roads nearby including Bressenden Place, Allington Street and Carlisle Place. It will cost you £2.00 per hour. The London Victoria Car Park is just a six minute walk away and costs £22.00 to park in for the day.
